Because of a last minute scheduling conflict the date for book club has been changed.  We will now be meeting next Thursday November 1st at 7:30pm at Kristy Brookhart's home.  Her address is:  3118 N. Crest Drive in the Perry Homes.
The book we have chosen to read for October is "And Then There Were None" by, Agatha Christie.  It is a suspenseful book since Halloween is coming up!   See you all then and happy reading!

We have had the same amazing woman cleaning our home for the past four years and she is wonderful!  She recently moved into our neighborhood and is looking for additional business.  She has times available on Mondays and Fridays and can do any schedule you'd like. (We have her come every other week for 2 hours.) I trust her completely and highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a little help.  She's also helped watch our kids on occasion and is great with them. *Be Cautious When Running Outside Alone
Recently there has been a report of a single female, early morning jogger, being assaulted in the Highland/Lehi area.  Take precautions when running alone and in the dark hours. 

*Timp Hwy Commuter Lane Traffic Noise Alert
The Timpanogos Highway commuter lanes have recently opened and with the increased traffic that is closer to us on these lanes comes more engine noise particularly from large diesel trucks.  I have learned that there is a hotline number at UDOT that anyone can call and voice their concerns.  UDOT is collecting feedback in the next month that can potentially affect decisions concerning the usage of these lanes.  They are considering restricting diesel engine brakes or restricting all truck traffic on the commuter lanes (which would help keep our neighborhood quiet and peaceful).  UDOT welcomes feedback from residents near the highway.  The hotline number is 877-222-3757 Or email them at: http://www.udot.utah.gov/sr92/contact.php

*Time out for Women
There is an opportunity to watch "Time Out For Women" this weekend at no charge to you.  It will be shown on live stream Friday and Saturday of this coming weekend, October 26th and 27th.Go to this page first so you can REGISTER before watching the stream.

Once you register, you will receive an email confirmation that will include the LINK FOR THE ACTUAL STREAMING.  Everyone who wishes to receive a link MUST REGISTER FIRST to receive the link to view the stream.

*Adorable Kittens that Need a Home

The Family Support & Treatment Center is pleased to once again offer our school district-approved presentations free of charge to teens and parents of Utah County.
For over a decade, we have been helping teens & parents in the community understand the difficult challenges in life and giving them tools to handle that stress. Subjects include:
Positive Child Guidance, Stress Management, Dating Violence, Dynamics of Abuse, Depression and Suicide.
Presentations are usually done a group setting and scheduled on a first come first serve basis. Presentation length can be adjusted between 40 and 80 minutes.
